I understand why many of us return to photograph a subject time and again. This stand of two trees in a small lake is one that I have photographed several times before. Yet, each time is like shooting it for the first time.
Three years ago, this same shot would have included several upturned john boats. Now, they are gone. Last year, the small island was on dry land after a year of drought. Now, it is just a small patch of ground above the water. Who knows what it will be the next time I pass by.
